With 16 employees, a successful 35-year career and more than 150 design awards (including "Designer of the year 2019 in the UK"), German Martin Ballendat's design studio is a brand in its own right. He works for international clients in all fields: residential, contract, office, school, health-care, hospitality and hotel. His LXR18 is marketed by Leolux LX especially for the contract market. But according to Ballendat, this lightweight armchair definitely deserves a place in the living room. "My philosophy has always been to create innovative products and present them as feasible products in a systematic process with prototypes and design work. This also improves my results because I am constantly learning by building a prototype."
